The theme here is Scottish plaid, and guests loved the utility and tastefulness of the décor throughout – especially for the price. Guests also loved the carefully landscaped on-site garden, which is also populated by ducks and unusual species of geese.
Most guests stay here to hike the Scottish highlands and the proximity to the mountains was a big hit. Guests also loved the beautiful views from hotel room windows. The hotel even packs lunches for hiking expeditions.
Guests loved the friendly reception staff and felt that nothing was too much trouble, right down to translating local Gaelic signs.
Some guests who stayed in rooms located in the rear annex were bothered by the thin walls and poor sound insulation in the rooms. Some guests also found the air conditioning condenser made enough noise at night to keep them up.
