The Stables is a small Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the picturesque and historic village of Ticknall. Set in a 400 year old stable building, with original oak timbers, it offers a quiet and unique place to stay. The Stables comprises of a large double bedroom, a small single bedroom and a shower room. The apartment also includes a small kitchen area that makes it an ideal base for longer stays and for customers wanting something different from a standard hotel room. Complimentary parking is provided, right outside your door on a gated drive. We offer a full English breakfast that can be served in the tea rooms or brought to your room. All our produce is locally sourced and freshly cooked. Generous amounts of complimentary tea and coffee, including filter type are provided. The entrance to the stately home of Calke Abbey is just a 5 minute stroll from the property. Donington Park Race Track is only 6 miles away and East Midlands Airport is under 8 miles. Located within a 20 minute walk from 2 reservoirs, and in the heart of the National Forest, the area offers a variety of countryside pursuits.
