This is a wonderful way to experience English history and it also makes for a cosy environment with plenty of rustic charm. The pub, restaurant and reception area are very clean, up to date and well-maintained.
As with many traditional pub and accommodation combos, the pub here can be quite noisy, particularly if there is a special event on or a busy weekend night. Rooms closest to the pub are most susceptible to the noise as room insulation is not the best.
One might make the assumption that, being a pub and country inn that pets would be more than welcome, this is not the case and those that like to travel with their pets may be disappointed in the no-pets policy.
