Hotel The Sagamore Resort (Bolton Landing, USA)

Guests said The Sagamore's location was gorgeous; a lush and landscaped private island full of possibilities to explore, right on the shores of Lake George and surrounded by the Adirondack mountains.

The range of recreation facilities on offer at the resort was found to be impressive, and included a pool and Jacuzzi area, boat rentals, a fitness center and — especially good for the kids — a huge range of sports and entertainment activities to take part in.

Those who stayed said the main resort building was itself beautiful, with a lovely fireplace, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, and the staff generally proved to be attentive and helpful, although a couple of exceptions were mentioned by some.

Although many were satisfied with their quarters, a small number of guests reported being placed in rooms with less than impressive decor, a musty smell, and thought things to be in need of a refresh or spring clean.

Not everyone who stayed at The Sagamore was happy with the quality of their food, and some said there were some problems with service being less than professional.
