The bar can be full of race goers so there’s a great atmosphere. Breakfast too, is impressive and served piping hot. All in all, whether a tourist or business guest, this place is on odds on favourite for overall quality and value.
Chester seems to wallow in an atmosphere of days gone by, at the turn of every corner. It's a popular tourist haunt and along with The Saddle; a real winner!
There are no evening meals here, mid-week. The sister establishment, 5 minutes away on foot, does serve food, as do numerous outlets in this city centre area.
There are no hotel parking facilities here. You can, though, ‘drop off’ luggage, plus you can get from the hotel, a discount ticket for putting the car in the NCP car park, about 5 minutes walk away.
They’re somewhat drab and cramped. General cleanliness is a bit of an issue; so too is heating which can be ineffective.
