About The Royal Valentia

The Royal Valentia, opened in 1833, is among Ireland’s oldest hotels, and is an historic, landmark building of architectural interest in the picturesque Knightstown village. The Kidd family started a restoration program in 2006 which now has 30 ensuite bedrooms, function room, dining room and large bar area offering local entertainment. From the Royal you can visit the Skelligs, plan fishing or diving expeditions or explore the Island and its many historic sights eg. Cromwell Lighthouse, the Slate quarry and grotto, the tetrapod trackways to name but a few, or for the adventurous walk the loop walk at bray head, cycle the island or take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean outside your door.
