The hotel is a great choice for the fitness-minded. There is a well-equipped gym, pool and classes are held regularly in all manner of disciplines. The spa is praised by nearly all, and there is a knowledgable spa concierge on hand to advise even the most experienced of spa-goers.

Rooms are spacious and full of light, with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a five-star hotel. En-suites feature both bath and rainfall showers, Nespresso machines are supplied, complimentary bottled water, robes and slippers and luxury toiletries, and most rooms boast city views.

The hotel can get busy during peak season and the availability of some facilities can be affected. Previous guests have suggested that the pool can be too packed to use at times, and loungers are few and far between.

Guests have noted several minor quibbles which, while unlikely to detract from the overall enjoyment of your stay, may cause annoyance when rates are so high. Small room issues such as missing bath plugs, holey towels and late turn-down services are the points mentioned most frequently.

There is no self-parking available so, while valet parking is undoubtedly convenient, those who prefer to park themselves will be disappointed. The parking itself is also expensive, with a daily fee.
