It’s a steep walk downhill to the Inn.

Because the only parking is on a street that's located at the top of the hill above the Inn, it’s a steep walk down a cobbled lane to get to The Red Lion. This could prove to be problematic for those with low mobility and lots of luggage.

The bars are a bit unkempt.

Both bars have a problem with flies and often you’ll find old food caked on the side of crockery that is supposed to be clean. This is unappetizing at best.

The Inn is in need of refurbishment as carpeting, furnishings and bathroom fixtures are drab and really showing their age. This can make for a less-than-pleasing aesthetic unless all you really care about is the view from your window.
