There are a number of things to see and do in the area. From fly fishing the Eamont River to accompanied tours of the Lake District to Lowther Castle, guests have not run out of ways to keep themselves entertained.

The rooms are self-contained and self-catered, with facilities for preparing your own meals. Some guests have said that capability was great for travelling with children or those who do not want to forage for every meal.

Where are you?.

There are no apparent road signs for the Rebels Hide, so guests have had a difficult time locating the bed and breakfast. GPS and certain online mapping services direct guests to the wrong location, so you should make sure you request detailed directions

According to guest reviews, if you or anyone in your party is allergic to cats, you should consider this prior to booking. The owners do have cats that reside inside the facility.

Though the bathrooms may be advertised on the hotel website as “private” or “en suite,” some are reportedly shared or located across the hall from the room. This was an unpleasant surprise for some.
