The heated pool was found to be well-kept and proved to be a popular feature of the hotel, while the lodgings were found to be clean, with comfortable beds, modern decor and a wide range of amenities including luxurious toiletries, microwave, a fridge and free parking.

You will find the complimentary breakfasts to be tasty, with a good selection of food including hot options and continental fare — and plenty of it — while the staff was thought to be lovely, informative and friendly, and also welcoming to those with dogs.

Guests occasionally noted a small amount of noise in rooms closest to the highway, the location is too far from Portsmouth for most walkers, but everything is reachable in an easy drive, and The Port Inn's air conditioning units were mentioned a few times as being loud, but these were minor issues to only a few of those who stayed.
