Most of the guests liked the food served in the inn. It was cooked reasonably well and affordable. Squid with Asian salad and duck was quite a favourite among the guests. There was a good selection of menu for children too. The home cooked ham was also a good treat. The garden behind was found to be pleasant by the guests. It was nicely shaded so that guests could enjoy a morning cup of tea. The kids enjoyed playing around at the Wendy House.
The staff was very attentive and genuinely looked into all the concerns of the guests. They were very courteous and helpful. Keeping smallest of the details in mind went a long way in creating a good impression among the guests.
Guests found the location of the inn to be very convenient as it was easily accessible from M3. They also enjoyed a game of golf in the South Winchester golf course. The Heathrow is at a decent distance from the inn.
Few guests experienced a very bad odour of raw sewage from the bathrooms. Some of the other guests could feel a strong smell of fish in the rooms making it intolerable to stay there for a long time.
Since there was no telephone in the rooms, the guests had to come down all the way in case they wanted to talk to someone in the reception.
Some of the guests felt that the size of the rooms was very small and there was inadequate space to even move around in the room. The television was smaller than the screen of a laptop.
