Folk come to this region for peace and quiet in a spectacular location. They don't go away disappointed. The nearest town of any note is a 15 minute car journey away so peace and quiet is what you'll get. If on a walking break, don't leave until you've taken the Puck's Glen trail.

The food in the bistro isn't as exceptional as the expectation built up in your mind. A bit disappointing and the portions aren't particularly generous. The prices, though, are likely to turn you to drink ... if there was any!
They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. That's a bit of a bind if you forget because there are next to no shops in the vicinity.
It's the nearest town and a good 20-minute car journey away. The Pier B&B is a good base, though, from which to explore Dunoon and the spectacular Cowal region. Whilst most of us crave peace and quiet, the novelty can wear off for some, after about 20 minutes.
