International Starters, now known as The Park Guest House, is a contemporary B&B on Aviemore’s main street, surrounded by the mountains of The Cairngorm National Park. Shops, restaurants, Aviemore central station and the Cairngorm Brewery are within ten minutes’ walk, while several golf courses can be found within a mile. Each of the 13 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, and an iron, ice bucket and wine glasses are available on request. A function room seating up to 30 guests is available, as is free parking. Complimentary afternoon teas are served in the lounge daily, as well as Scottish Highland cooked breakfasts each morning. The Strathspey Railway is 1.5 miles from The Park Guest House, and Cairngorm Mountain 10.7 miles, while Inverness and Inverness Airport are 30.2 and 36 miles away, respectively.

The Park Guest House is well-placed for shops and places to eat in downtown Aviemore, and is also a short walk from the railway station, while guests found it to be a great base for exploring the central highlands, Cairngorm Mountain and hiking nearby.
Guests found the basic, but clean and comfortable rooms to be excellent value for money, with free, off-street parking included in the offering.
The friendly staff was found to create a nice atmosphere in the B&B, and was considered helpful in pointing out local attractions guests might have otherwise missed.
Some of those who stayed at The Park Guest House found the walls a bit thin and sometimes heard some noise from other guests next door and above, but this was not considered to be a massive issue.
If you are someone who appreciates a very strong shower, then keep in mind that the water pressure here has occasionally been described as too weak.
