About The Old Rectory

Just a short trip from Norwich City Centre, The Old Rectory is a boutique hotel and restaurant in an old country house. With eight rooms, guests can select from a variety of double rooms and a twin. Each room has an en-suite with toiletries, a TV and a basket of water and organic drinks. Various rooms have various aspects to the countryside. Wi-Fi is available at a cost. The hotel has an outdoor pool open in summers, a garden and sun terrace. Free parking is available as well as laundry and ironing services, and meeting and banquet facilities. The restaurant is a AA Rosette restaurant serving traditional English cuisine  such as Cromer crab, medallions of Attleborough beef and a selection of Norfolk cheese. A hot English Breakfast is served every morning for guests. Norwich is arguably the most complete medieval city in England with a Norman castle, open air market and two cathedrals.

Coach House Ceilings.

The building is a remarkable restoration, however the coach house room is reasonably small with a sloped ceiling. Some guests complained of hitting their heads on the sloped roof.

While the majority of the guests found their rooms welcoming and cosy, others felt theirs were a bit dark for their liking, and needed some additional lighting.
