Hotel The Mowbray (Eastbourne, United Kingdom)

As is the norm in smaller hotels and B&B’s, the buildings normally have loads of stairs but no lift. The Maynard has both. Guests have to experience the small lift to be able to understand the novelty behind it, but are lucky enough to have the option.

Everyday, an inclusive breakfast is laid out for guests, and the choice is vast. The meal choice is large, ranging from cereals and juice, to pastries and cold meats to a full cooked English breakfast. Delicious!

Guests are welcomed back after a busy day of touring and sight seeing, and are encouraged to sit in the residents lounge, and help themselves to the complimentary tea and coffee tray, and reminisce about the day’s events.

While the hotel has a lift, unfortunately it only goes to three of the four levels. The breakfast room is down a steep flight of stairs that guests with limited mobility might find hard to navigate. Staff members are at hand to assist in any way they can

The Mowbray is very security conscience, with locked doors outside of check-in/out times. If guests arrive outside of these hours, they may find themselves stranded outdoors, unless they place a quick call to the front desk, and the door will be opened fo
