This hotel occupies a good location, next to a shopping centre which offers loads of shopping. This hotel is also near the hospital, yet in a very peaceful setting, ideally situated for getting into town, and perfectly placed for getting to Kerry Airport, making travel a breeze.

Many guests say the restaurant food is a let down, and the bar food is acceptable, just not great. Neither offers much choice, especially for vegetarians. Besides the food, the service also needs improvement, as guests say the staff don't seem to enjoy being there, and service is slow as well.

This hotel can be a bit noisy depending on your luck. Often times you can hear other guests if they slam doors, or you may hear a noisy generator-type noise, and sometimes you can hear someone sorting bottles outside the window. It all depends on your luck and where your room is located, as well as what other types of guests are staying at the hotel.

The exterior of this hotel is not the most attractive. It needs some refurbishments to ensure it keeps up with the rest of the facility and service. However, many guests say not to judge this book by its cover.
