The hotel staff are congenial, accommodating, and very kind. It's a family friendly atmosphere. To top it off, the hotel views are fantastic. The facility is situated in the hub of Leitrim, and Durmshanbo village is at the base of Slieve Anierin to the north and the Arigna Mountains to the west. This is what makes the views so amazing along with the great hospitality.
The building, rooms, and the restaurant have a contemporary style. The family rooms are spacious and some include a living room and double or twin beds. There is also a children's section at the pool and a sauna room.
You should be able to have a good sleep at night as the hotel area is quiet. If there is any noise, it would probably be from other visitors at the facility, but overall, the hotel is relaxing.
Unfortunately, though you will receive great service, the exterior and interior need some TLC or tender-loving-care. The shrubbery needs trimming and there are weeds everywhere. The swimming pool is not heated well and the outdoor hot tub needs some work. The public areas could use some spicing up as well.
You may experience food that isn't very well cooked. Burnt fish, room service for breakfast will find your food arriving cold, inadequate breakfast selection, and other issues makes eating at the facility not an enjoyable experience.
