The site is beautiful with stunning views. Relaxing in the hot tub is an absolute delight and the view over the bay from there is stunning. The grounds are really well kept.
Guestrooms here are nicely designed, with lovely wood burning fireplaces. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the whole area is really spacious, meaning you can spread yourself out. The level of cleanliness is superb.
While the general ambience at Bodega Bay Lodge is quiet and relaxed, you might find your sleep is disturbed. Guests tend to sit out by the pool until quite late at night and the sound of their conversation really travels back up to the building. Also, you may be woken up early by the sounds of the faraway fog horn. Within the property, the slightly creaky floors mean you'll possible hear people walking above you.
While the food at this hotel is nice, it is also rather expensive, as are drinks. So be sure to consider this when budgeting for your stay. The service in the restaurants can sometimes be rather slow as well.
