Hotel The Landis Taipei (Taipei City, Taiwan)

The room is comfort and nicely decorated. Everything is designed to please. If you happen to have a room with a partition and have a family, it's very convenient for separating the space.

The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive. Their professionalism will considerably add to the comfort of your hotel stay. The staff speaks fluent English as well.

The hotel is in a wonderful location. You are close to bus stops, the metro station, banks, restaurants, everything is close by. In fact, the location is probably the best attraction of the hotel. The hotel bakery is great as well.

You may be disappointed at the breakfast offered by the hotel if you are looking for eastern dishes. It's all western! You will get the usual continental breakfast of bread, sausages, eggs, and so on, and perhaps a little Japanese food. If you are looking for fried dough fritters and soya bean drink and other Taiwanese fare, you won't get it. It would be great if they could add Taiwanese food to the menu.

Don't be shy about asking to change your room if you smell cigarette smoke. It appears to be a slight issue at the hotel. It seems to be a smoker's paradise for some reason. If you are a non-smoker make sure you speak up. The staff are lovely and they will change your room to accommodate your needs.

The gym could do with a makeover with better equipment. Most of the equipment is not enough for those who want a serious workout.
