The Knoll offers 5-star boutique luxury in a late Victorian country house at the southern tip of Lake Windermere, surrounded by spectacular Lakes District woodlands. This retreat serves award-winning organic food, was featured in the 2007 Michelin Guide, and is 1.5 miles from Newby Bridge, nine miles from Bowness on Windermere, and Kendal is 17.7 miles away. Each of the eight bedrooms has a sumptuous en-suite bathroom with power shower or corner bath, and complimentary toiletries, TV, DVD, free Wi-Fi, hospitality trays and iPod docking stations.
