While the rooms themselves are good, it's the modern bathrooms - and the showers in particular - that are especially noteworthy at this pub. No weak water pressure here!
When it comes to sea views, this pub certainly delivers. Most of the rooms here come with impressive views of the English Channel, something which, for many guests, only adds to the traditional seaside feel and character of this pub. If that wasn't enough, the menu here - which features breakfast, lunch and dinner - is also impressive, with many diners commenting on the outstanding food as well as the excellent quality of the beer.
The breakfast - especially the kippers - came highly rated, but a number of diners were bemused to find that the day's most important meal was not included in their room rate.
While this pub does warn guests upon booking that things can get a little loud at the weekends, some really found that rooms above the bar were especially affected.
