Many guests said that they preferred to stay at this inn because of its close proximity to the airport. The Stansted airport is just a 15-miute drive from the inn, thus it was extremely convenient for guests who had to take early morning flights. Other modes of transport are easily accessible and the town centre is also just a five-minute walk.
The pub served one of the finest quality real ales said the guests. Even the wine collection and other bar menu was excellent. Food served at the pub was very tasty and the ambience in the pub was very lively.
The owner of the inn has a nice welcoming attitude and greeted all the guests with a cheerful face and a smile. She had good knowledge about the surrounding area and shared the same with the guests. Even for guests arriving late at night, she was very cordial and helped them in their Check-in procedures.
The inn offers simple accommodations with basic facilities. Guests found that it was fairly overpriced for the facilities provided. Even the breakfast wasn't included in the room price, which was not liked by many.
Mostly, all the rooms at the inn are facing the main road. Thus there is a lot of traffic noise say guests. Since the inn is located very close to the town centre there is constant hustle bustle making the rooms noisy.
Some guests said that TVs in their rooms were not functioning at all. The hot and cold water knobs were placed in the opposite direction, and they were automatic so within regular intervals guests had to press the knob to keep the water running. Light fittings were dated too.
