The Heights is a 3 star hotel on the Isle of Portland, just outside the town of Portland. It occupies a commanding position on the cliffs with views westward to Chesil Beach and Lyme Bay and eastward over Weymouth. The hotel has 65 rooms graded classic, deluxe and poolside. All have en-suite facilities, hospitality tray and TV with freeview. Poolside rooms are classic type adjacent to the outdoor swimming pool. There is a car park for guests. The hotel is non-smoking throughout. The Bistro restaurant and bar are positioned to make the most of the views along the coast and out to sea. The menus offer light dishes as well as full meals using locally sourced produce. The coffee shop is open all day and specialises in afternoon tea. As well as the swimming pool there is a fitness centre with gym, squash court and sauna. Exercise classes and beauty therapy are also offered. Four meeting rooms with presentation equipment are available for corporate events and the hotel also caters for private functions and weddings. The hotel is well located for exploring the Jurassic Coast and is about 5 miles from the resort and sailing centre of Weymouth.
