Built in 1895 as a small Victorian hotel! The Harbour Lights is a family run B&B situated in the heart of Ilfracombe's Heritage Harbour on the spectacular North Devon Coast and is ideal for visitors seeking affordable accommodation in North Devon. We offer hearty breakfasts in a comfortable, light breakfast room each morning. Fresh smothies. French pressed coffee. You order your delicious food from our menu, and help yourself to fruit or cereal while it is being cooked to order. The picturesque harbour is steeped in legends of pirates, wreckers and smugglers and has retained much of its old world charm. There are inns dating from the 15th century, narrow winding streets, colourful cottages, souvenir shops, galleries, tea rooms, a lifeboat station, aquarium, restaurants and breathtaking coastal scenery. The berth for the Lundy Island ferry is a 4 minute stroll from our front door. In addition to being the home port for private yachts Ilfracombe is still a working harbour with fresh fish, crabs and lobster landed daily. Coastal cruises and sea-life safaris are available subject to tides and weather conditions. Please be aware that the harbour area can be quite lively in the evenings, especially at weekends. The Harbour Lights is owned and operated by the resident proprietors so you are assured of a warm welcome and personal service at all times.
