Good Breakfast.

The breakfast on offer in the restaurant is good. The Continental buffet is well stocked with food and preserves and the full cooked English breakfast is filling and prepares you well for the day.

The staff and manager are friendly and helpful and try to be attentive and accommodating to the needs of guests. Overall the staff make an effort to make your stay a good experience.

The location of The Hamilton is good and is close enough to the city centre to walk. However, it is also far away enough from the city centre to avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowds which makes it a bit quieter and more relaxed. The nearby seafront a

Cramped Smaller Rooms.

The smaller rooms on offer in the hotel feel a bit small and cramped. The showers are ensuite which is very nice but again they feel cramped and small. The water pressure in the showers is also not so strong in the smaller rooms and hot water is limited.

The overall décor is somewhat tired and dated and could do with improving in parts. For example there is some dirt and scruff in the rooms and public areas and some of the fittings and amenities are loose or ageing.

The Wi-Fi is sometimes difficult to connect to and once connected the signal is not very strong or stable. This can make surfing the Internet a bit challenging and frustrating.
