Hotel The Glidden House (Cleveland, USA)

The Botanical Garden is adjacent to the hotel and is a wonderful place to take a walk in the morning or afternoon. It's like an oasis in the bustling city and a real bonus for any plant loving guests. It's a lovely location and just right for a relaxing weekend.

The rooms at this hotel are warm and cozy. They are nicely decorated and although they are modernized you still get a feel for the history of the place even in the rooms. The beds are very comfy, and the heating works quite well.

Whether you're eating breakfast in the parlour or enjoying coffee in the sunroom, you can see history everywhere in this hotel. The fantastic fireplace and the intriguing artwork throughout have impressed many a guest.

Some guests have reported that they weren't too impressed by the staff at the front desk who they claim were a little rude to them. They sometimes didn't answer the phone or help out with issues the guests had.

The breakfast was adequate at this hotel, but it's the same thing every day, and some guests would like a bit of a change from time to time. You can only eat so much bacon and eggs before it gets boring and the only other option is oatmeal.

Not many guests have remarked on how clean the place is and with good reason. The housekeeping staff at this hotel do the bare minimum at all times. The rooms are acceptable, but the public areas are very grimy and not at all clean.
