The location of this hotel is perfect. It's central and close to many attractions, there are shops within walking distance, the main highway is easily accessible and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly from arrival to departure. Nothing is too much for them, whether it be pulling some extra strings to get guests a room that better suits their needs, providing suggestions on things to see and do in the area or making up a special meal for late-arriving guests - they are always providing 5-star service.
The soundproofing in the rooms is poor and doesn't filter out much of the noise around the hotel including loud partiers singing and yelling, cars whizzing by on the nearby freeway and guests talking and watching TV in nearby rooms.
The guest rooms at The Garland are small and cramped and guests also reported several other issues including dated decor and furnishings, unclean bedding, broken lamps, missing amenities and very small bathrooms.
