Hotel The Essex Resort & Spa (Essex, USA)

The Essex Resort and Spa is located in the suburbs with the downtown area at a convenient distance, providing guests the best of both worlds in Essex. Guests traveling with family find a host of activities in and around the resort with 18 acres of Vermont countryside surrounding it. They can try their hand at boating and skiing as well as shopping and hiking. The Burlington International airport is minutes away and the Essex Family Fun and Entertainment Center is within three miles of the resort.

The rooms feature individual and conventional décor with upscale amenities. Flat screen TVs, iPod docks and Keurig coffeemakers are featured in all the rooms. Some rooms have fully equipped kitchenettes and gas fireplaces. Some suites have added living rooms while some have whirlpool tubs and plush spa robes.

The resort has a full service spa with special treatments. An indoor and outdoor pool is present for guests to enjoy relaxing swims. A fitness center for work outs and outdoor tennis courts are available. For golf enthusiasts there is an 18-hole golf course on site. Cookery classes are featured along with two restaurants and a pub. Guests can avail of fly fishing river tours or hot air balloon rides provided by the resort. Airport shuttle is extended for a fee. Parking and Wi-Fi access are complimentary.

The cooking classes featured at the school runs full most of the time and guests have a long wait for their turn. Spa is also booked all the time and guests have to make reservations well in advance to have a chance to use the services.

Dining at the restaurant is bothersome as there are flies and mosquitoes.

The climate control in the rooms is set at freezing temperatures and air conditioner cannot be turned off making guests switch off the climate control completely and open windows.
