Good value for money
These rooms are not expensive, so if you have some business in the area or are passing through and need a place for the night, then this inn is perfect. A room with a shower, a warm bed, and a pub downstairs, what more could you need for a night.

Lovely staff and locals
The people that work and drink here try their best to make you feel like one of the locals. They are very chatty and love to get to know their guests. They also have plenty of information on the local area that you won't find in any guidebooks.

Old and shabby
If you are travelling on a budget, then this might be acceptable, but if you are looking for a nice weekend away, then you'll find that the décor and dated furniture in the rooms of this inn make it far from ideal.

Damp smells
The rooms have a musty smell that cannot be aired out no matter how long you open the windows. Some guests felt that the bathrooms weren't cleaned properly making the place smell damp. This is not ideal especially for children.

No heating
Unless you count the oil heater as heating, then the rooms at this inn have no real way of keeping warm. Guests have said that it took hours to get the place warm using the heater and even then, once you open the door the cold would get in.
