The location of the hotel is just right for the guests to conveniently move around. It is right in the centre of the town and down the street from the Falkland Palace. Guests had a good time hiking at both East and West Lomond along with the visit to castles and monuments of historic significance.
Most of the guests liked the tasty and piping hot food served here. The onsite restaurant had a very good menu to share. There is a daily specials board, which also had a good choice of items. Special dietary requests are catered to. The onsite coffee shop offers homemade scones, cakes, muffins and tray bakes. Guests liked the collection of beers, malt whiskeys and spirits at the onsite wine bar as well.
The owners and staff members were very attentive and helpful. They extended a very warm welcome to all the guests, which went a long way in making them feel at home. They always had a smile on their face and were very professional.
The water pressure in the shower was very slow making it very inconvenient for the guests to take a bath. As the water was trickling slowly, it took a lot of time for the guests to get done with their bath. Moreover, the bathroom was very cold in spite of a heated towel rail.
Few guests had a very difficult time falling asleep as the light from the street lamps filter into the rooms. They felt that having thicker curtains would have helped in cutting off the unnecessary lighting.
Some of the guests found the beds to be rock hard and the mattresses rolled into the centre. They suggested that changing the mattress would solve this problem.
