The meals served at the on-site restaurant at The Coachman are excellent with no shortage of delicious, exquisitely-prepared meals featuring only the very best local ingredients.  All meals are served at the right temperature, the portions are generous and the menu is varied.

The guest rooms are very nice and feature modern and tasteful decor and comfortable beds and furnishings. Guests also reported that the rooms are very clean because they are cleaned frequently and to a high standard by hard-working cleaning staff.

Despite the seemingly rural location of this hotel, the city centre of Glasgow is only a short drive away. There are attractions within close proximity to the hotel and all the major sites of the city are easily-accessible as well.

Guests reported that the service at The Coachman is slow is every respect from front desk service to restaurant service. Guests reported long waits to be served, mix-ups with room bookings, staff who are unhelpful and don't rectify issues in a timely manner and staff who are unapologetic when things go wrong.

Although the hotel advertises free Wi-Fi all over the property, guests reported that it never works in the rooms and, in fact, the only place where it works is the bar and even there, it only works sporadically.

The smell of cigarette smoke can be detected all around the resort and even inside at times despite the fact that the hotel is advertised as a smoke-free property. Guests reported being engulfed in a cloud of smoke upon walking outside the main doors and even reported being able to smell smoke coming from nearby guest rooms.
