Hotel The Boathouse Phuket (Kata Beach, Thailand)

Providing direct beach access, Boathouse by Montara is just a few metres away from the beach. There are also many beaches along the coastline where you can go snorkelling and see tropical fish.

There are a choice of local restaurants within easy walking distance which, along with the on-site restaurant, received favourable reviews for the local as well as international dishes prepared. The Boathouse Wine and Grill also offers beautiful sunset views over the beach.

The rooms are comfortable, spacious and beautifully furnished with stylish and modern decor. Housekeeping staff work hard to keep the rooms spotlessly clean and tidy on a daily basis.

Some guests commented that the swimming pool was too small to allow more than a few people to comfortably sit or swim in the water without bumping into each other. There are also a limited number of sun beds and during busy times you may miss out.

Some guests felt that the hotel did not offer good value for money and that it was expensive and overpriced for what was offered. Comments included that the rooms were small and basic for the prices charged, and while restaurant food generally received positive reviews it was found to be overpriced. Guests recommended trying the local restaurants. Some guests who booked rooms with an ocean views complained that their view was blocked by the trees.

Despite other positive customer service reviews, some guests reported that there were times where the service at the restaurant and around the swimming pools were very slow and long wait time could be expected for service.
