The Board Inn is a laid-back, family-run pub and inn located in Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Most guests who commented on the atmosphere and customer service said they found the owners and staff members to be very friendly and welcoming. There was also a generally good atmosphere with friendly locals, so if you are a social sort of person, you will probably enjoy staying at this inn.

Depending on the room type you book, noise may prove to be an issue. The pub stays open late and can become quite noisy in the evening. Rooms over the pub may hear these sounds directly, as well as sounds of the fan blowing in the kitchen. It was also mentioned that toilets can be noisy when flushing. You may want to bring some ear plugs.
The pub seems to be a popular place and can become quite crowded, which means service may be a bit slow at times. A few people said there were long waits when they ordered a meal.
When it comes to dining in the restaurant, a few people said they felt the menu was somewhat overpriced.
