Positive Reviews

positive:

Well-maintained charm.

The building itself is older than most in the area, but that only adds to its historical value and sense of flair. The rooms are also generally clean and the appliances are modern, which grants the best of both worlds to you, no matter which room size you select.

positive:

Elevator access.

If you're traveling with mobility handicaps or have somebody in your party with these concerns, then fear not: The Baroness has an elevator system that will make it a breeze to move between floors, with or without luggage in hand.

positive:

Convenient placement in the city.

Thanks to the hotel's location in Seattle, a number of landmarks and famous city hallmarks are on display without the use of a car or taxi. You'll be able to walk to many of the surrounding sites, and can dine out without worrying about the hassle of parking fees.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Limited dining services.

Although the hotel does provide room service, you won't be able to access a traditional continental breakfast during your stay. Your primary need will be seeking out meals at restaurants or nearby grocery stores during your stay, since vending machine food is rarely enough to sustain you.

negative:

Non-functional air-conditioning.

This may come as a horrific surprise to those of you that have visited Seattle in summer, but many rooms do not include air-conditioning, or had broken fixtures. Because of this, you'll need to keep a window open or endure overly-hot nights during your stay (if you happen to get an unfortunate room).

negative:

Some renovation needs.

While the hotel looks fantastic for its age, some small details - including wallpaper, linens, and metal surfaces in the suites - could use some attentive cleaning and replacement in the near future.
