This inn overlooks the village green and is what you might call a picture postcard building. It's perfect for those looking for a real rural Scottish experience and with its rustic décor, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time.
The staff at this inn are remarkably friendly and love to help out guests in any way that they can. They are full of tips and advice on the food in the restaurant and even have a few stories about the local area to share.
The menu might seem rather limited, but the food that is served is excellent. It's all reasonably priced too with plenty on your plate to fill you up. Guests are also impressed with the Scottish breakfast included in the room rate.
The internet isn't the best in this area, so it's no real surprise that some guests have complained of having no access at some point during their stay. It's not ideal for those that have work to do, but if you're away for a quiet weekend, then it could be a blessing in disguise.
This isn't a busy road but there is still quite a bit of noise that makes it through to the rooms and some guests also complained of cars lighting up the room with their headlights. Blackout curtains and double glazing is what's needed.
You'll find that there's not much chance of comfort if two people are trying to change their clothes at the same time in one of these rooms. Yes, they are quaint, but some are simply too small for the price you pay.
