Although guests say the breakfast at The Ardennes was not awful in any way, it didn't have the wow factor that they were looking for. Breakfast was pretty much the same thing every day, and some travellers would prefer a little variety.
There were some occasions where staff seemed to be a little overwhelmed with too many duties all at the same time. The breakfast staff especially could have done with a little more help during the early morning rush.
If you prefer the darkness, then there won't be an issue if you end up with one of the guest rooms without a window, however most visitors did not like this, and would prefer to get fresh air flowing through the room, along with some natural sunlight.
