Thameside is a non-smoking property which is great for those who don’t imbibe and like their room smelling fresh and not like stale, second-hand smoke.

A warm, friendly and approachable staff welcomes you at check-in and is there for you throughout your stay. They are happy to accommodate most any request and point you in the direction of great eateries and entertainments.

With close proximity to the Thames Path, which runs along the river, lots of eclectic shops and dozens of restaurants, bars and clubs, you won’t need your car for the duration of your stay. Public transportation is easy to access, with the bus stop near the hotel and Reading Train Station close at hand. In addition, the A329 is also very close by, so the hotel is easy to access.

Other than service animal, Thameside does not allow pets. This is unfortunate for those who like to travel with their favourite Four-legged friends.

If it’s a quiet stay you’re looking for, then it’s best to book a room at the back of the hotel, as the front of the property looks over a busy road and hence, the traffic noise can get bothersome, especially at night and on the weekends. There is a trade-off however, as the rooms toward the front of the property are a little bigger.

Best to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and lotion as this hotel does not provide toiletries other than liquid hand soap in the bathroom.
