Hotel Teun (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

This hotel is said to occupy a great spot for exploring Amsterdam's attractions, and is reportedly within easy walking distance of Anne Frank House, the city centre, the Jordaan district and  Amsterdam Centraal Station. Guests said the hotel was also found on a street filled with boutique shopping, restaurants and cafes, a decent away from the tourist crush.

The staff at Teun is said to be friendly, professional and helpful, although the team members seem to primarily be staff in the hotel's  restaurant, so a few guests reported having to wait a bit for hotel service. Furthermore, the rooms themselves are apparently clean, with comfortable beds and personal safes.

Those who stayed said they had good food across all meals at Restaurant Teun, with continental breakfasts including fare like cheese, cold cuts and breads available.

Teun has some steep Dutch stairs which you should be aware of, which a few people said could be a challenge with lots of luggage or limited mobility. However, also keep in mind that this is also fairly common for Amsterdam buildings.

Many of those who stayed were surprised by what they considered very small rooms, with not much more room in the shower, toilet or bed. Having said this, a handful of guests were very happy with their quarters, so upsize your room if you are in doubt.

Guests occasionally said that double glazing would have been good, to deal with road noise and the fact that the heating is apparently not always the best. Another sticking point for some was that there was no tea and coffee in the rooms.
