Situated amongst beautiful native New Zealand bush in Port Charles, 1 hour drive North of Coromandel Town - with Tangiaro stream flowing through it, Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is a special place - take a deep breath, relax & unwind! A few minutes' drive away from some of the most breathtaking beaches in New Zealand, Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is THE place to go to if all you wish to hear is the sound of birds, the breeze through the trees and the beat of your own heart. Our stylish, unique lodges blend beautifully into the natural surroundings and make you feel as if you are a part of the bush. Fully appointed and designed with comfort in mind, your lodge will help you relax into your visit. One & two bedroom lodges available. The Tangiaro restaurant, bar and café has a wonderful selection of foods and drinks. In January the cafe is open from 10am until 4pm, and the restaurant is open 5pm - 7pm, bookings required. (Other nights & breakfasts are by arrangement). Between February and November the kitchen is closed Sunday night & all day Monday.
