The spacious guest rooms and en suites at Sutherlands are immaculately clean. Plenty of amenities like lovely toiletries and fluffy towels make for a relaxing stay. And you can be sure you'll enjoy a good night's sleep when you slip into the comfortable beds, made up with soft linens.
When travelling with your family, it's important to choose a hotel that can accommodate your entire clan, and this one is a great choice. There are plenty of children's activities here, including a play area, and the full English breakfast not only gets everyone's day off to a great start, but it helps to stretch your travel budget a bit farther.
This is a non-smoking property both inside and out. This is great news for if you don't imbibe as you are guaranteed a stay that free of the acrid smell of stale, second hand smoke.
Although there is a Full English breakfast on offer here, some guests were disappointed by the lack of choices they were given, especially when it comes to the fact that there is no fresh fruit to be had.
If you are interested in going to central Newcastle, you definitely need a car to get there. Luckily, the hotel offers reduced rates on taxi services if they arrange the taxi for you.
Sutherlands does not have a lift. The steps leading to the guest rooms are rather steep and this could prove to be problematic if you have low mobility or a lot of luggage in tow.
