The 3-star hotel Hotel Supetar is located on the harbour promenade of the southern Croatian town of Cavtat, a 45-minute boat ride or 25-minute drive away from the Dubrovnik Old Town. The hotel is found in a 19th Century building and offers two sunbathing terraces, as well as a chauffeured limousine service for pick-ups from Dubrovnik Airport, ten minutes’ drive away. All 28 rooms have sea or garden views, an en-suite bathroom with shower, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, air conditioning and a direct-dial phone. Guests can make use of safety deposit boxes at the front desk, as well as laundry service, luggage storage and an internet corner. Guests said Supetar had gorgeous views out over the harbour and promenade, and those rooms which did not have similar vistas looked out to a lovely garden. Despite the choice spot and proximity to restaurants and bars, guests said it was nevertheless quiet and those wanting to head to Dubrovnik could easily do so in less than half an hour's drive, or even with a pleasant boat trip.
Those who stayed said they were able to use the pool of a nearby sister hotel, while the rooms were considered clean and comfortable. Furthermore, the staff members are reportedly courteous and friendly, and guests said they went out of their way to help, even offering money exchange and booking transfers.
The dining on the terrace and the sights which came with this were a favourite of many of those who stayed; a nice pairing to go with the tasty, reasonably-priced food on offer for the buffet breakfasts and a la carte dinner service.
Supetar's decor appeared to be a bit worn out according to some — including furnishings and carpet which were thought to be past their heyday — but many did not seem to care. Likewise, a few guests found their rooms to be a bit small, but this was not thought to be an issue by the vast majority of people.
Guests occasionally reported difficulties accessing the free Wi-Fi here, and there is also no lift, but there are apparently only a couple of flight of stairs to deal with.
