Hotel Super 8 Williamsburg Amana Colonies Area (Williamsburg, USA)

It's a nice hotel in a quiet location. Well run, clean and friendly. The cost, too, brings a smile to the face.

It's a bit like a French farce. The building is really two hotels with separate access; the Super 8 and the Cozy House. To confuse matters further, they are owned by the same, very nice, people. Signage isn't all that good, so you could easily turn up to register at the wrong place, only to be re-directed and then registered elsewhere ... by the same staff member! Staff are brilliant though and any initial annoyance at this situation disperses completely. Quirky, though!

It's close to the main outlet in Williamsburg and to a number of gas stations and fast food restaurants. The hotel is only a 30 minute drive from Iowa City.

Depending upon your own frame of mind at the point of arrival, the farce of trying to book in at one of these two joined hotels will be either hysterically funny ... or annoying beyond measure.

Breakfast is very disappointing. Expected more than cereal and a waffle maker.

No! It's not such a wonderful morning. Inside and outside, the property has maintenance issues. The lack of exterior maintenance couldn't be more pronounced as evidenced by the massive, several feet tall, weeds. Time for someone to get down and dirty and sort these problems out.
