You really need a car here because very few facilities are within walking distance. That said, it's a great point from which to explore and visit a huge range of attractions.

It's not always the case but, here, water pressure is sufficient to ensure constant hot water and great showers. This is, indeed, a plus sign to savor and one that must be envied by many larger and more expensive establishments.

Rooms are clean, well maintained and kitchens are well equipped; so, no need to go out and buy missing items. WiFi, too, is surprisingly reliable.

If, as they say, 'cleanliness is next to godliness'...this is one 'hell 'of a place! Rooms stink ... to 'high heaven' ... of damp and carpets, bedding and mattresses are soaking wet. This is all because of the humidity, coupled with lack of cleaning and maintenance.

This isn't, in any way, an attractive place to stay. The surrounding district is full of characters who you wouldn't wish to meet, even in the full light of day - so, at night, there are serious concerns about venturing outside.

The front desk/reception area closes early and opens late. The intervening period is when problems (of all descriptions) occur. It can be very worrying, in the early hours, to be faced with a difficulty and having no staff, at all, to turn to.
