It's only about 10-15 minutes' walk to the shops and buzzing activity in Fira but, this is like another world. So peaceful and quiet and with sensational sea views. What could be better than a glass of wine in the sea-view hot tub, away from the hustle and bustle! To complete the picture; all staff here are absolutely brilliant!
Rooms are simply, but beautifully, furnished and they are cleaned every day. Decoration is predominately and typically white, but with highlights of blue and green. It suits this sunny island setting perfectly.
Breakfast is well prepared and typically Greek. They'll deliver it to your room as well; bliss! It's certainly sufficiently substantial to set you up for a day spent exploring, swimming … or just relaxing on the terrace. There's no shortage of restaurants for later dining, a short walk away in Fira. Quite a few of them will do free deliveries too. There's a convenience store nearby for drinks and snacks.
There are problems with the Wi-Fi signal but, on holiday here, the hot tub and a glass of wine are much higher on the list of priorities.
It's only an occasional problem and limited to when you get other guests who are inconsiderate, or groups who feel an obligation to be noisy. On these occasions, it's quite clear that there is no soundproofing between the rooms.
Shower curtains are too short, so the bathroom floor floods. There is a heating system but, during the winter months, it has trouble coping. The hotel can be a bit chilly.
