In a narrow terraced townhouse next to Scarborough Cricket Club, Sunnyside is a five-minute walk from both Peasholm Park and the beach. A warm welcome and a smattering of retro charm characterise a stay at this traditional, family-run guesthouse. Cosy, low-key guest rooms with homely decor feature TVs and tea/coffee-making facilities. Some quarters have en-suite facilities; others require guests to make use of private/shared facilities. Accommodations at the rear of the property provide magnificent views of the cricket pitch. Amenities include tourist advice/assistance and a modest garden. Public on-street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Hearty cooked breakfasts are served up at a cafe just down the road (The Toast Box) which is owned by the proprietors of the guest house. Evening meals are available upon request. Sunnyside is a ten-minute walk from Scarborough Open Air Theatre and a 15-minute stroll from Scarborough Castle.
A great many guests - even those who don't normally enjoy the sound of leather on willow - were bowled over by the views of the local cricket ground from the rear of the property. If you're a big fan of cricket then you'll definitely be in your element here!
The location of this hotel is such that it's within a very easy stroll of Peasholm Park, Scarborough Open Air Theatre and, of course, the beach. Suffice to say, the vast majority of visitors who've stayed here loved being able to reach these sights - as well as several others - without having to drive.

Despite the fact this guesthouse is in Yorkshire (the spiritual home of tea in England), each room provides just two (2!) teabags for guests to use throughout their stay. It is fair to say precious few visitors appreciated this.
