Sunborn Gibraltar is a hotel experience on a permanently-moored luxury yacht, located in at heart of the Ocean Village development in Gibraltar. Accommodation on Sunborn Gibraltar is available as a standard room, an apartment, or a luxurious suite. All are en-suite, air-conditioned, and have Flat-screen TVs and a champagne mini-bar. Guests can use the infinity pool and fitness centre, as well as for an additional charge the spa. Wi-Fi is free throughout, and the hotel it has its own casino. There are several restaurants and bars on Sunborn Gibraltar, including the fine-dining Sky Restaurant and the Saphire cocktail bar. The terrace and sun deck are ideal locations for enjoying a drink on a summer evening. Sunborn Gibraltar has plenty of choice for eating and drinking at any time of the day. The Sky Restaurant is a fine-dining affair, and works in partnership with La Sala, a restaurant that operates out of the glamourous Puerto Banus on the Costa del Sol. There are lots of dining and entertainment options nearby off the yacht, too.
This yacht hotel is kitted out with modern fixtures and fittings in keeping with its customer promise of luxury, luxury, luxury. As a number of guests have noted, Sunborn Gibraltar is glamourous, something which is enhanced by the hotel having its own casino.
Gibraltar is a fairly compact country (it is one of the smallest territories in the world), but even so Sunborn Gibraltar is right at the heart of things. The shops on Main Street are five minutes away, and Dolphin Boat trips sail from beside the hotel.
Gibraltar can get very hot during the summer. Unfortunately with this in mind, a large number of guests have complained about the air-conditioning in their rooms on Sunborn Gibraltar not making their rooms cool enough.
While Sunborn Gibraltar has a great marina setting, guests should be warned that it is at the heart of a very popular area for nightlife called Ocean Village. Revellers are out until five or six in the morning – and this is not only on weekends! - so it can get rather noisy.
Because of its marina location, there is no free parking available at all for Sunborn Gibraltar, and this has been an issue for guests unfamiliar with the compact Gibraltar. However, paid parking is available just a two-minute walk away.
