The dining room is a highlight here. Attractive and welcoming; the service, too, is efficient and friendly.

Included in the tariff, breakfast is something of an eye opener and particularly well cooked and presented.

This is the basic reason why folk stay here. You are so close to the city centre and railway station and if you like the ‘canaries’, you can also walk to Norwich FC’s football ground! They don’t serve evening meal here but that’s not really a factor as there are so many options within walking distance of the B+B.

It seems that rooms are part of a lengthy refurb programme. The fact remains that those that are still waiting leave much to be desired. Poor maintenance of en-suites, dampness and smells, poor furnishings and wafer thin curtains, with a brightly lit street outside. When combined, these make for a particularly unpleasant stay. Make sure you get a refurbished room.

It’s ‘Hobson’s Choice’ at breakfast. Enter the (quite nice) dining room, sit down and there it is. No messing around, here, with ‘what would you like this morning?’

The tariff you are faced with on arrival isn’t necessarily the one you agreed when booking in advance. A simple mistake if the real price is actually lower; but it isn’t!
