The hotel has a local tram station at its doorstep, and the railway station is just five minutes' walk away. This is perfect for those who wanted to explore farther into the town. Moreover, the hotel is also just a stone-throw from the Gare Saint Jean and other tourist sites at the city centre.
Guests find the staff members loveable. They stated that even though the property was not high class, the staff members still managed to be graceful and efficient at all times. Staffs were polite, and were always around for any request or question.
The breakfast also gained a lot of positive criticism, especially because it was served very early during the day, which was perfect for guests who needed to be on the go ASAP. Others were grateful that the free morning meal was substantial to jump-start their day.
Like in several hotels in the area, the advertised free Wi-Fi existed in the reception area only. Guests weren't able to connect to the Internet from inside their rooms. Some of the guests had to go to a nearby cafe just to avail their free Wi-Fi offer.
There were several complaints about the shower rooms. There were no hooks in the shower area, and no shower curtain for protection. The water pressure was also weak during select times. Moreover, guests noted that the paint was peeling in the shower rooms.
Double rooms are still small according to a number of guests, let alone the normal rooms. Guests complained about the minimal space for storage, and they were not happy with the size of their en-suite bathrooms.
