Hotel Stanwell House (Lymington, United Kingdom)

Stanwell House is a boutique hotel with a focus on providing a variety of luxury 24-hour serviced accommodation. Georgian rooms in the oldest section of the hotel, provide a taste of classic Georgian period décor. Garden Rooms offer guests access to the private gardens while Four Poster Rooms feature classic four poster beds. The Stanwell Suites offer separate bed and lounge areas with flat screen TV’s in each and private terraces. Nespresso coffee machines are included in the Four Poster and Terrace Suite rooms.

Ten in the Garden offers a private dining experience in the garden for up to ten guests with its own private fridge. Seafood at Stanwells offers a menu of locally sourced seafood caught on the day while the Bistro focuses on contemporary European cuisine. The Drydock specialises in cocktails, champagne, an international wine list and local and imported beers. Finally, the Any Time Menu comprises a menu ranging from breakfast, lunch and dinner menus for guests and drop-in visitors.

The hotel has its own private 40 foot yacht moored in nearby Lymington pier that offers relaxing cruises along the coastline or team-building racing style expeditions.

Guests that are sensitive to noise should avoid rooms at the front of the hotel as street noise can be a bit disruptive.

Despite having multiple floors, there is no lift service provided, making accessing rooms awkward for elderly, physically impaired or guests with excessive luggage.

Despite being advertised as a bed and breakfast the hotel does not include breakfast as part of the room rate. Guest choosing the breakfast options at the hotel will need to allow for additional charges.
