A three star property, Stansted Airport Lodge is a guest house located in front of Hatfield Forest. It is at a distance of around 3 miles from Stansted Airport. The lodge takes care of paper work expressly and handles check-ins and check-outs without making the guests wait endlessly when they arrive or leave. The reception has staff only at limited timings and is deserted at other times. Guests arriving early have to wait long hours and those checking out early in the mornings have to leave without breakfast. The costs include breakfast and airport transfer but guests leaving early have to make do with stale and cold stuff kept in the fridge and also pay for the taxi fare to the airport as this payment is apparently dodged by the lodge.
The distance is rather long from the main city so guests end up paying high charges for taxi fare. There are no hotels or cafes to have meals at close distances either.
The room has furnishings that are very basic and weary. Beds are creaky and noisy; carpets are worn out and need to be replaced.
